Lynn Valaes – Fitness Instructor, owner of Wise Women Fitness
A lifelong fitness fanatic, a former runner lover of all things outdoors, furry babies and any sport that is physically active, Lynn’s love of fitness and teaching was a natural transition for her to enter the fitness industry. Lynn also quickly discovered that midlife women were an incredibly underserved population in the fitness industry. It was then she was compelled to open her own fitness facility led by women, just for women. Fast forward 4 years and she continues to provide women with the tools needed to live a healthier, more vibrant life through exercise and smart lifestyle choices. Lynn has worked with a myriad of special populations including those suffering from obesity, Lyme disease, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, spinal fusion surgeries and spinal cord injury, just to name a few.
Lynn is a recent graduate of the Pink Ribbon Program and holds the designation as a certified Post-Rehabilitative Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist. The Pink Ribbon Program is a six-week gentle and progressive therapeutic exercise program specifically for breast cancer patients to help them regain mobility and improve their quality of life. The goal is to help survivors return to a physical wellbeing as “normal” as can be, outside of a clinical environment and in the company and support of other women.
